Carly Williams (Zhou Lab) spoke about her discovery of translesion DNA synthesis inhibition as a promising therapeutic approach against prostate cancer at the 4th Exploring DNA Repair Pathways as Targets for Cancer Therapy Conference

10/8/2024: Carly S. Williams, a senior graduate student in Dr. Pei Zhou's lab, spoke about her discovery of translesion DNA synthesis inhibition as a promising therapeutic approach against prostate cancer at the 4th Exploring DNA Repair Pathways as Targets for Cancer Therapy Conference in Malta.

Carly is a current sixth-year Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Pei Zhou's lab. She now is wrapping up her thesis work studying how to target Translesion DNA synthesis with small molecules to overcome prostate cancer hormone therapy resistance. This international conference allowed her to share her work with the top researchers in the DNA repair field.
